Josh and Teresa - October 11, 2008

Josh and Teresa had their ceremony and reception at Glendoveers. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny fall day.

This is Josh and his brother. It always amazes me that no matter how old the boys are they still think bunny ears in photos is funny..... oh, well, at least they had a good time.

The girls got ready at Teresa's parents house.

The flowers were beautiful fall colors.

Fall, boys, pumpkins, beer..... always a crazy combination.

Some of our favorite picks of Josh and Teresa.

The grand entrance.

Josh and Teresa entered to the theme of Star Wars.

Josh's brothers toast was a riot. It included props such as Beano, Dust Masks (for when there is no beano),  and a stuffed baby Yoda for their first kid.

The father daughter dance was great. It started out as a normal dance and then they went into a complete routine with props, mic's, costume and set changes.... oh, and dance moves!

Teresa's father made the cake topper in his wood shop. It was amazing.

No wedding could be complete with out the babushka dance. It is very similar to the dollar dance. You still have to pay a dollar to dance with the bride and or groom but the bride and groom wear babushka's.

Everyone had a great time at the party!! Thanks for letting us photograph your day with you both!! Congratulations Josh and Teresa!!

Nick and Kelly - October 4, 2008

Nick and Kelly were married at The Church of the Transfiguration and had their reception at the Lodge at Woodcliff

Kurtis met the guys at the church and got some shots of them before the ceremony.

Julia met up with the girls at The Lodge at Woodcliff. Kelly got ready with her bridesmaids, sister in-law, niece and mom.

This is Kelly's niece who knew EVERYTHING about Harry Potter. She was so cute.

The lucky butterflies. Kelly and her maid of honor each wore one.

The girls were blocking the door so no one would see Kelly in her dress.

The guys get ready to walk down the isle.

Some of our favorite group picks.

Some favorite picks of Nick and Kelly

The details and decorations were beautiful.

For their first dance they were all smiles, giggles and tears.

Nick's dad gave a wonderful toast written on a Woodcliff cocktail napkin.

Doug and Sarah - September 28, 2008

Doug and Sarah's wedding was very laid back and easy going. It was all about family and friends. The had their celebration at The Rabbit Room in Honeoye Falls, NY. Sarah wasn't interested in having lots of getting ready pictures so I took a few pictures of her when she was all dressed and ready. Her dress was beautiful! So delicate with all the lace.

Sarah and her dad waited on the 2nd floor for the ceremony to start.

They both requested this picture...

The flower girl was such a little cutie pie.

Sarah with her grandfather after the ceremony.

Doug and Sarah wanted pictures with everyone. So we took many group pictures. These three are my favorite. It is of Sarah and her brother...... Every family has pictures like these!

They were so funny, and in this last picture they have the smiles they most likely did at ages 6 and 4.

The flower girl didn't want her picture taken but she would allow us to take a picture of her flowers.

2 more cutie's

Here are a few pictures of they guys. They were great and were willing to do anything. ...although most of the ideas were theirs.

This is my favorite. They thought I was nuts for laying on the floor to take a picture.... little did they know how great it would turn out.

Since we took so many group pictures it left us with 20-30 min. to take pictures of Sarah and Doug. Even though we were short of time. I think we still were able to capture the essence of Doug and Sarah.

This picture was their idea. They had seen this sign on their way into town and thought it would be funny to have their picture taken in front of it. We thought it was a great idea so off we went lickety-split.

I loved Sarah's flowers. They were so natural, beautiful and simple.

The flowers for the tables were also natural, beautiful and simple.

We couldn't help ourselves.... The Rabbit Room .... carrots.... statue of a rabbit... ha ha ha

Doug had cufflinks made with their silhouettes and the silhouettes became part of their theme and favors.

The Grand Entrance - Ta da!

After they saw their images Sarah let me know that the image we captured of them when they entered the tent for their grand announcement and kissed was their favorite. I have to admit, it is a nice picture and really captured the love between the two.

The first Dance

These 2 little characters were a riot. I love the bow tie.

Father daughter dance

Sarah danced with her grandfather later in the evening.

Congratulations Doug and Sarah!!!

Nick and Alicia - September 20, 2008

Nick and Alicia were high school sweet hearts. We had so much fun with them when we photographed their engagement session and we had just as much if not more fun at the wedding. They were married and had their ceremony at the Batavia Country Club.

Alicia's mom sewed the wedding dates of her and her husband into Alicia's dress as good luck.

Alicia and her dad wait to walk down the isle.

Here are some of our favorite pictures of Nick and Alicia

Nick and Alicia's first dance was amazing! It was choreographed down to her dress. They started out with a typical first dance for a few minutes. Then the music changed and Nick helped Alicia take off her skirt. They did an amazing dance that took everyone by surprise!

Off comes the dress

and on with the dance moves!

The dress then came back on for the remaining of the reception. It was amazing. We had never seen a two piece dress or a first dance like that!

...save a horse ride a cowboy....

Congratulations Nick and Alicia!

Corey and Courtney - September 13, 2008

Corey and Courtney had a very unique wedding. They rented a huge 6 bedroom lake house on Canandaigua Lake. Their family spent the first day decorating and eveyone spent the night the day of was like getting ready for a big family party. It was beautiful, low key, family affair. After the wedding, everyone went home and Corey and Courtney had the lake house all to themselves for the week for the honeymoon. It was a great idea!!

The girls got ready in the master bedroom.

Courtney gave her mom a beautiful bracelet.

Courtney had a Corey and Courtney charm made for her flowers.

They had their ceremony on the lower stone porch overlooking the lake.

Bubbles!! always look GREAT in pictures!

Courtney and Corey had a moment to themselves before they go out on to the deck for the toasts.

Corey's father was his best man and gave a wonderful, funny, tearful toast.

They didn't do all the typical wedding reception things... first dance, bouquet toss... So it gave us the opportunity to get lots of candids of the guests and all the detail shots.

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of the whole day.

It was raining so everyone had these white umbrellas. We had fun with them during the group pictures.

Some of our favorite pictures of Courtney and Corey on the dock.

The decorations and details were beautiful.

They had the coolest candy station

The favors were little pies, strawberry, peach, blueberry, grape and apple.

Corey is a graphic designer and created a flip book for his proposal to Courtney. He scanned in the pages and had it playing on the TV in the lake house.

Congratulations Corey and Courtney, thanks for letting us photograph your amazing day!

Rob and Katie had their ceremony and reception at the Irondequoit Country Club Stacey Blair and her crew always do a wonderful job, the guests had a ball.

Katie's dad wasn't sure what to do with a house hold full of women getting ready.

Here is everyone seeing Katie in her dress for the first time.

This is the lucky ladybug that her twin sister pinned into her dress.

The guys all had the same socks on and wanted to make sure we got a picture of them.

Here are some of our favorite image of Rob and Katie.

Katie and her mom did an amazing job with all the little details. Here is the invitation.

wedding program

Table numbers

This is one of the favors. They are pins of Katie and Rob

This is the other favor, which is a wonderful idea and we have seen more and more of our couples opting for this.

Polaroid guest book

The parents put together a slide show showing images of Katie and Rob from infants to adults. It was really sweet, funny and emotional all at the same time.

Congratulations to you both!!

Her Morning Elegance / Oren Lavie

It still amazes how photography is used in creative ways

* The video was shot all stills - roughly 3225 still photos for the entire video, using one camera, hanging from the ceiling for the main body of the movie.
* It took 4 weeks before shooting to create an animated computer generated storyboard for the video, with 3d dummies for the characters.
* It took only 2 days of shooting for the live actors on set to re-create the 3.5 minutes computer sequence, frame by frame.

Chris and Nicole - August 31, 2008

18 men is kilts, 1 bride, 2 dresses.... This is the explanation for Chris and Nicole's wedding. Chris is Scottish, Nicole is Chinese. They blended both cultures and wedding traditions to have a very unique, colorful, and sentimental wedding. Chris and Nicole had their entire event at The Lodge at Woodcliff Chris rented the kilts for all his guys and his mom had to bring the socks over from Scotland.

The guys line up to walk down to the ceremony site

Nicole got ready with her friends and mom.

Chris and Nicole walked down to the ceremony site together. This is the moment they both saw each other for the first time.

Here is all the guys... in their kilts...

After the Christian ceremony and  champagne toast. Nicole went upstairs to change into her traditional Chinese wedding dress.

At the beginning of the reception they had what is the quintessential Chinese wedding tradition: the tea ceremony. This time-honored exchange was created to show respect for the family. Historically, after they exchanged vows, the couple would serve tea to the groom's family. Today, many couples choose to honor both the bride and groom's families by hosting tea ceremonies for both sets of parents.

Here is one of the benefits of having 2 photographers.

"Ever wonder what is under a Scottish mans kilt?"

...a mini kilt...

As tradition the parents and bride and groom went to every table and toasted their guests.

Congratulations Chris and Nicole!

Mike and Lisa - August 17, 2008

Mike and Lisa has a beautiful wedding at Casa Larga. The clouds were amazing that day.

see... AMAZING clouds!

\
The ring bearer and flower girl switched the ring pillow and the flower basket. As you can see the flower girl took a nap on the pillow during the ceremony and the ring bearer sat and took the flower basket apart one petal at a time.

Lisa and her mom get to see the room for the first time

Lisa looks really nervous.

... but I think she had a good time.

Bill and Maria - August 16, 2008

Bill and Maria were married at the St. Louis Church and had their reception at Casa Larga in Pittsford. Maria made many of the decorations for the wedding including the programs at the ceremony.

This little guy was really interested in me and the big black camera I had...... but he wasn't too sure.

He kept an eye on me at all time.

Maria's sister helped her get ready

This was the first time we had shot at the St. Louis Church. It was beautiful and the light was amazing. We didn't have to use the flashes!

For their first dance they invited their entire bridal party to join them.

...At the car wash.. whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa..Talkin' about the car wash....

Congratulations Bill and Maria!!!

Travis and Katie - August 9, 2008

Travis and Katie were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and had their reception at the Monroe Golf Club.  Travis and Katie had an amazing wedding planner. Katie and her sister got ready at her parents house.

Travis got ready at their townhouse.

The kids were such cuties... as you will see in later pictures in this blog post.

After the guys met up at the house and Kurtis took some pictures they went to a local pub for some food and drink before the rest of the day.

The little ones wanted to play darts.....

Bullseye!

Then it was off to the church.

again.... cuties...

Katie and her dad arrive at the church and prepare to walk down the isle.

...you have to love these kids....

The kids were getting tired by the time we arrived at George Eastman House to take some pictures on the grand staircase. They were nutty but still fun to take pictures of.

Then it was off to the country club to grab a few more shots of
Katie and Travis and start the party.

The flowers and the reception hall were exquisite.
Jane, her crew and the Monroe Golf Club did an amazing job with the decorations.

Joe Castro was their DJ. He had everyone on the dance floor all night.

...and no party is complete until there is chair dancing.

Congratulations Katie and Travis!
