New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity

Hurricane Katrina Recovery Effort
New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity is leading an unprecedented rebuilding effort, as the largest homebuilder in New Orleans. In 2008, NOAHH plans on building hundreds of new homes in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes.

Kurtis will be joining a group of students from the School Without Walls and St. John Fisher next week in New Orleans. The students will be helping New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity rebuild. Kurtis will be there to photograph and document the trip. He will be sending pictures back daily for the blog and for a article with the D&C so stay tuned.

Julia wanted to go as well but unfortunately she is highly allergic to mold and was advised by her doc to stay in Rochester. That's ok, she will keep the blog going and let you all know what Kurtis is seeing and doing. Apparently they will also be there during Mardi Gras so I am sure that there will be some fun pictures from that as well.

All the best,

Julia and Kurtis
